MAKERS is a series of documentaries that feature groundbreaking American women in different spheres of influence: war, comedy, space, business, Hollywood and politics. Each program profiles prominent women and relates their struggles, triumphs and contributions, as they reshaped and transformed the landscape of their chosen vocations. PBS first broadcast MAKERS as a three-hour special on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 8pm (local time), 19 months before MAKERS premiered as six-episode series, airing on Tuesdays at 9pm (local time) from September 30 through November 4, 2014.
