Plot Synopsis

MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE is a half-hour, single-camera comedy series that centers on young genius Malcolm, who tries to navigate life with his quirky, often difficult, family.

Season 7 of MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE debuted on Friday, September 30, 2005 at 8:30pm ET/PT on FOX. The new season revolves around five brothers whose parents are just trying to hold on until their last son turns 18. Middle child Malcolm is now a regular high school kid trying to navigate his way through life. Although Malcolm has a genius IQ, he can't seem to make sense of his family, which includes his outspoken, opinionated mom, Lois; his dad Hal, who is just a bumbling, big kid at heart; deviant brother Reese, who has a penchant for cooking up dinner and trouble; Francis, the oldest brother, who's willing to move from Alabama to Alaska to New Mexico -- as long as it keeps him from moving home; covertly sly Dewey; and toddler Jamie, the newest member-- and scapegoat -- of the family.

Almost 25 years after its original debut, MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE will return for a limited, four-episode run on Disney+ globally. From 20th Television and New Regency, the new episodes will see the return of original cast members Frankie Muniz as Malcolm, Bryan Cranston as Hal, and Jane Kaczmarek as Lois. In these brand-new episodes, Malcolm and his daughter are drawn into the family's chaos when Hal and Lois demand his presence for their 40th wedding anniversary party. A premiere date will be announced at a later time.
