Plot Synopsis

Based on Simon Rich's book of short stories, "The Last Girlfriend on Earth," MAN SEEKING WOMAN is a half-hour comedy series that follows naive twentysomething Josh Greenberg on his unrelenting quest for love. Josh soldiers through one-night stands, painful break-ups, a blind date with a troll, time travel, sex aliens, many deaths and a Japanese penis monster named Tanaka on his fantastical journey to find love. Along the way, Josh gets help from Mike, his confident and daring best friend; Liz, his intimidating older sister; and Maggie, the ex-girlfriend Josh can never quite forget. Mike is everything that Josh is not. He is a cool, confident, charismatic bro with an expense account and an insatiable lust for women. Mike serves as the devil on Josh's shoulder, pushing him towards sex, drugs and...more sex. Josh's sister makes him look like a toddler by comparison. Liz is a corporate lawyer with an excellent boyfriend, and she still finds time to hit the gym each morning. She spends her free time nudging Josh to get off the couch and get his act together. Maggie has quickly moved on from the four-year relationship, whereas Josh is still haunted by her memory -- sometimes literally. Only when Josh has started to recover from his breakup does Maggie re-enter the picture, turning his life back upside down. Season 2 of MAN SEEKING WOMAN premiered on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 10:30pm ET/PT on FXX. This season Josh Greenberg soldiers through foolish texts, awkward dates, cloning disasters, man-on-car sex, hundreds of deaths, and worst of all, a love triangle with his best friend, Andre. Meanwhile, Josh's sister, Liz, falls for an unavailable man. In the season opener, "Wings," Mike resents Josh for spending all his time with his new girlfriend. Season 3 of MAN SEEKING WOMAN premiered on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10:30pm ET/PT on FXX. Josh has battled a lot in his quest for love (flesh-eating monsters, homicidal aliens). But this season will see him face his toughest challenge yet: a serious, long-term relationship. Together, Josh and Lucy will take on anniversaries, merging friend groups, ruthless drug lords, friendly forest creatures, student loans and even God himself. In order to make it, they'll have to work together and learn to live their lives as a team.

On Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 10:30pm ET/PT, FXX premiered the Season 3 finale of MAN SEEKING WOMAN. In the season ender, "Blood," Josh and Lucy get married.
