Plot Synopsis

In this four-part series, psychological illusionist Derren Brown uses an inventive mixture of stunts, magic, illusion, and suggestion to investigate if someone could be hypnotised into killing a celebrity; if everybody has the capacity for evil and whether being part of a group affects our sense of right and wrong; if an unwitting participant can be convinced to admit to murder when placed at the center of an elaborate, hidden-camera murder mystery; and if he and Dawn Porter can convince an entire town that a local statue has special powers, making them lucky. Science Channel aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Monday, January 25, 2015 at 10pm ET/7pm PT, more than three years after it originally debuted on Channel 4 in the UK, where it aired with the title DERREN BROWN: THE EXPERIMENTS.
