Plot Synopsis

In this two-part special, Argentine adventurer Marianela Pereyra takes viewers on a journey to some of America's hottest, most exciting and beautiful beaches. Each half-hour program highlights a different coastal destination, revealed through Marianela's beach adventures. From taking in lighthouse vistas and strolling the iconic boardwalks of California, to feeding sharks and defying gravity with a 255-horsepower jet pack in Florida, MARIANELA'S BEST BEACHES spotlights the best activities, sights and shorelines each beach destination has to offer. Each 30-minute special highlights a different locale, including: California, where Marianela meets skaters, bodybuilders and oddball denizens in Venice Beach and then travels north to climb one of the tallest lighthouses in California; and Florida, where Marianela explores the Sunshine State via a speed boat in Daytona, and by feeding sharks in Key West, partying in South Beach and defying gravity strapped to a jet lev in St Pete Beach. Travel Channel premiered MARIANELA'S BEST BEACHES on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 11pm-Midnight, showing both episodes back to back as part of the cable channel's "Beach Week" programming.
