Plot Synopsis

Tattoos indicate extreme dedication, passion to a code, a family, a set of ideals and/or principles. "Marked" investigates the symbology of tattoos and explores the secrets behind the marks. Whether that mark is a dragon or a skull, each story is a discovery of a new culture and its symbols and initiation rites...and sometimes its downfall. Tattoo artists and cultural experts will decode the history and technique of tattoos, putting personal experiences into perspective. Each episode focuses on a different group or organization: prisoners; military; ethnic groups.
