Plot Synopsis

In each half-hour episode of MARY MCCARTNEY SERVES IT UP, British photographer and cookbook author Mary McCartney invites audiences into her London kitchen, as she prepares delicious, accessible, and picture perfect meals with her celebrity friends. Mary shares her sincere love of cooking and her family's favorite recipes and the stories behind them, showcasing her accessible vegetarian food philosophy for all to enjoy. In each episode, Mary is joined by her famous friends -- at home and over video conference -- to celebrate food and friendship with transatlantic cook-alongs, taste-tests, cocktail classes and fun food Q&As. From easy dinners to comforting eats, moreish modern meals, and scrumptious desserts, Mary serves up incredible eats proving every day and special occasions can be vege-licious.

MARY MCCARTNEY SERVES IT UP first debuted as a half-hour special on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 9am ET/PT on Food Network. In this program, "Burgers, Brownies and Slaw with Stanley Tucci," Mary puts her own spin on American classics for lunch with her friend, actor Stanley Tucci. A busy mom and photographer, Mary shares McCartney family stories.

Thirteen months later, all six episodes of MARY MCCARTNEY SERVES IT UP's first season debuted on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT on discovery+. Season 1 features good food and great company on every episode -- from Maple Vodka Grilled Peaches with Kate Hudson, Meatless Marinara Sub Sandwiches with Mark Ronson, and Deluxe Hash Brown Skillet piled high with spicy beans and delicious fixings for brunch with Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie. But no brunch is complete without a cocktail, so the ladies show Mary their special take on a spritzer. Plus, Liv Tyler is Mary's official nachos taste tester, and Dave Grohl teaches Mary the secret to his legendary lasagna, while she makes Smokey Dogs and a chef's salad with homemade dressing to round out the meal. Mary also arranges a food delivery for a virtual party with Gayle King, who famously doesn't cook, filled with Sticky Crispy Cauliflower Bites, Pea & Mint Dip, and Roasted Tomato & Butterbean Toasts. Together they mix up a delicious mocktail, to toast to their friendship and to sharing a delicious meal.

The sophomore season of MARY MCCARTNEY SERVES IT UP dropped on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, as discovery+ released the entire four-episode new season. In Season 2, Mary is joined by her famous friends to celebrate food and friendship with transatlantic cook-alongs, and revealing food Q&As. Mary's dad, the legendary musician Sir Paul McCartney joins her for the ultimate holiday feast, featuring decadent sides to accompany a vegetarian roast. But, the star of the meal is a sweet and savory vegan Yorkshire pudding that earns the chief taste tester, Mary's dad's seal of approval. Then, Sir Paul teaches Mary the secret recipe for his signature cocktail, a Maccarita, a unique McCartney spin on the traditional margarita. The celebrations continue when Oprah Winfrey joins Mary virtually for cocktails and canapes. The two make history, when Mary gets Oprah to make a homemade dip for the very first time by teaching her the recipe for an incredible Bloody Mary Dip served with Focaccia Skewers. Mary's little sister, Stella McCartney, also stops by to taste test her Party Perfect Pie, and to help prepare a stunning Roasted Toasted Salad inspired by their mom. Reese Witherspoon gets a master class in entertaining family-style, when Mary shows her how to make luxurious Creamy Green Pasta, a guaranteed crowd pleaser for any seasonal get together. Mary also shows her friend how to make the ultimate British dessert, a Towering Cherry Trifle.

MARY MCCARTNEY SERVES IT UP returned for its third season on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, as discovery+ released all four episodes of the new season. In Season 3, Mary connects with more of her celebrity friends over good food. Legendary musician and photographer Bryan Adams joins her for some speedy plant-based comfort food as they made a Skillet Flatbread Caponata Pizza. Mary then shares a taste of her childhood with a quick and easy spin on her mom's Cream of Tomato Soup, perfect for a picnic in the park with her best friend and lead singer of the rock band Texas, Sharleen Spiteri. Actor Jamie Dornan helps Mary put a twist on the classic steak frites as they make Mushroom Steak with Chunky Fries and Beurre-Less Blanc Sauce. But first, they munch on the classic English snack, Chip Butty sandwiches. Mary also stops by designer Henry Holland's studio to deliver a vegan Caesar Salad that they enjoy from a beautiful ceramic bowl he handmade for her. For some sweetness, Mary shares how to make a homemade ice cream cake that is a total showstopper, and a piece of cake to make. Also, Mary teaches music superstar Celeste how to make out-of-this-world barbeque indoors as they make Charred Cabbage with Citrus Tahini Dressing and Harissa BBQ Pulled Jackfruit with all the fixings. Mary prepares a cookout must-have, fire-grilled Loaded Double Red Bean Burgers, for the Shire horse team at the Hampton Court Palace Stables. Actress Simone Ashley joins Mary for Smoked Tofu Pad Thai that comes together in no time. Simone mixes up her first cocktail with a spicy, zing that she names M's Kick for a toast to their friendship.
