Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Nick Cannon, with panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke, THE MASKED SINGER is a top-secret celebrity singing competition that will have everyone asking, "who's behind the mask?!" Based on an international format, and already a viral phenomenon with over half a billion fans worldwide, the series features celebrities facing off against one another with one major twist: each singer is shrouded from head to toe in an elaborate costume, complete with full face mask to conceal his or her identity. With each performance, the host, panelists, audience, viewers and even the other contestants are left guessing who is singing behind the mask. Although the celebrities' identities are a mystery, between them they have a combined 65 Grammy Award nominations, 16 Emmy Award nominations, four stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and four Super Bowl titles. The singers may attempt to throw the crowd off of their scent, while keen observers might pick up on tiny clues buried throughout the show. One singer is eliminated by the audience and judges each week, based on their performance, and then reveals his or her true identity. The ultimate guessing game kicks off in the series premiere with the first six undercover celebrity singers -- Peacock, Hippo, Monster, Unicorn, Deer, and Lion -- facing off against one another in elaborate head-to-toe costumes. The second episode features the remaining six competitors: Pineapple, Poodle, Raven, Alien, Rabbit, and Bee.

The sophomore season of THE MASKED SINGER premiered Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 8-10pm ET/PT on FOX. The first eight undercover celebrity singers face off against one another in dazzling head-to-toe costumes. Host Nick Cannon and panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke return as they attempt to guess the identities behind a new batch of Hollywood stars in all-new costumes with tougher clues! The battles result in two celebrities taking off their masks. Four more singers are introduced each of the following two weeks.

Season 3 of THE MASKED SINGER premiered on Sunday, February 2, 2020, immediately after SUPER BOWL LIV and its post-game show, approximately at 10:30pm ET/7:30pm PT on FOX. The actual time is dependent on the length of SUPER BOWL LIV. Guest panelist Jamie Foxx joins host Nick Cannon and panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke. Eighteen celebrity singers wearing all-new custom made costumes will perform as America tries to guess who they are! The Season 3 contestants have amassed a combined 69 Grammy Nominations, 88 Gold Records, 11 Super Bowl appearances, three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, more than 160 tattoos and one title in the Guinness Book of World Records. One singer will be unmasked in the 90-minute season opener.
