Plot Synopsis

A group of established DJs battle in a series of elimination challenges that take them across the globe to spin at every type of event to determine who is fit to be crowned MASTER OF THE MIX and win the $250,000 grand prize. The DJs must bring their A-Game each week -- from scratching to producing to pure swag -- in order to rise through the ranks. After premiering on Centric and then moving to BET for its second season, Season 3 of MASTER OF THE MIX aired on VH1. Season 3, which premiered on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 10pm ET on VH1 with new host Amanda Seales, featured a three-person judging panel: DJ Kid Capri, the first DJ to ever perform live on television, who is returning for his third season as a judge; DJ Mia Moretti, an Oakland native, who worked alongside trailblazers like Diplo and Cut Chemis and opened for Mika, Snoop Dogg, and Stevie Wonder; and Ben Maddahi, President of the Artist Publishing Group and Vice President of A&R at Artist Partners. Plus, the third season featured celebrity guests DJs, like EC Twins, DJ Irie, Lil Jon and Estelle. Past winners include: DJ Scratch (Season 1); and DJ P (Season 2). The 14 contestants competing for the Season 3 title are: DJ ASHA; DJ B-Hen; DJ Brian Dawe; DJ Chris Karns; DJ Dimepiece; DJ Dynamix; DJ eXeL DJ Fly Guy; DJ HOHME; DJ Incrediboi; DJ I-Dee; DJ Infa Red; DJ JayCeeOh; DJ Lisa Pittman; DJ Loczi; DJ Obscene; DJ PM; DJ Royale; and DJ Tina T.
