Plot Synopsis

Hosted and executive produced by Alec Baldwin, MATCH GAME is an updated version of the classic panel game show, where two contestants attempt to match the answers of six celebrities in a game of fill-in the missing blank. In each one-hour episode, two sets of two contestants each vie for the chance to win $25,000. The 10-episode series airs in 2016 as part of ABC's Sunday Fun & Games block, alongside CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD and THE $100,000 PYRAMID. The series premiere featured these celebrity panelists: Debra Messing; JB Smoove; Rosie O'Donnell; Michael Ian Black; Sutton Foster; and Tituss Burgess. Others celebrities scheduled for Season 1 include: Adam Goldberg; Ana Gasteyer; Bobby Moynihan; D.L. Hughley; Edie Falco; Horatio Sanz; Isaac Mizrahi; Jenna Fischer; Sherri Shepherd; and more. Baldwin is donating his appearance fee for MATCH GAME to the Hilaria & Alec Baldwin Foundation.

Season 2 of MATCH GAME premiered on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on ABC, featuring four contestants -- Caron Harrigan (hometown, Cerritos, California), Steve Ceriotti (hometown, St. Louis, Missouri), Chris Grant (hometown, Bronx, New York) and Vicky Snow (hometown, Tijuana, Mexico) -- vying for the chance to win $25,000, as they attempt to match fill-in-the-blank answers with these six celebrities: Jason Alexander, Cheryl Hines, Ice T, Ellie Kemper, Wayne Brady, and Caroline Rhea. Subsequent episodes features these celebrities: Amy Sedaris, Chris D'Elia, Constance Zimmer, Jane Krakowski, Rick Fox, and Tituss Burgess; Andy Richter, Bellamy Young, Caroline Rhea, Judy Greer, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Skylar Astin; and many more.

Season 3 of MATCH GAME premiered on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on ABC, with Alec Baldwin returning to host with his skinny microphone in hand. Each week, four contestants vie for the chance to win $25,000 as they attempt to match the answers of six celebrities. The season opener features these celebrity panelists: Joel McHale, Niecy Nash, Mark Duplass, Caroline Rhea, Jason Ritter, and Constance Zimmer. Celebrities featured in subsequent episodes include: Jack McBrayer, NeNe Leakes, Max Greenfield, Christina Ricci, Kenny G, and Jane Krakowski (January 10); Adam Pally, Cheryl Hines, Ron Funches, Caroline Rhea, Mario Cantone, and Ana Gasteyer (January 17). Season 3 of MATCH GAME returned on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on ABC. In the summer premiere, celebrity panelists Kenan Thompson, Niecy Nash, Thomas Lennon, Caroline Rhea, Mark Duplass, and Constance Zimmer are joined by contestants Cheryl Humphrey (hometown: North Little Rock, Arkansas), Lindsay Oetken (hometown: Surrey, North Dakota), Jared Barry (hometown: Farmingdale, New York) and Gena Kizer (hometown: Houston, Texas). Season 4 of MATCH GAME premiered on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT on ABC, with host Alec Baldwin welcoming celebrity panelists Kenan Thompson, Ellie Kemper, Tyler Hoechlin, Sherri Shepherd, Horatio Sanz, and Jillian Bell. Joining the celebrity panelists are four contestants -- Mohamed Marah (hometown: San Jose, California), Amy Boyer (hometown: Merrick, New York), Antonio Lovari (hometown: Newark, New Jersey) and Carolyn Doyle (hometown: Oceanside, California) -- vying for the chance to win $25,000. Celebrity panelists this season also include: Joel McHale, Jane Krakowski, Finesse Mitchell, Caroline Rhea, Jason Biggs, and La Toya Jackson (January 16); Adam Carolla, Morena Baccarin, Johnny Weir, Cheryl Hines, Rick Fox, and Pamela Anderson (January 23); and more. After a four-month break, MATCH GAME returned with new episodes on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT on ABC, as host Alec Baldwin welcomes these celebrity panelists: Jason Alexander, Sheryl Underwood, Gabriel Iglesias, Constance Zimmer, Michael Che, Bridget Everett.

The fifth season of MATCH GAME premiered on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at 10pm ET/PT on ABC, with Alec Baldwin returning as host. The season opener, "Shooting Blanks," features these celebrity panelists who played detectives on screen: Jennifer Esposito, Adam Rodriguez, Angie Harmon, Michael Chiklis, Melissa Fumero, and Mario Cantone, who hasn't played a detective, but he may have appeared on NYPD BLUE...for a few seconds. Joining the celebrity panelists are contestants Audrey White (hometown: Ocoee, Florida), Natalie Illiano (hometown: Voorhees, New Jersey), Tony Pham (hometown: Brooklyn, New York) and Jennifer Jewett (hometown: Gilbert, Arizona). MATCH GAME continued its fifth season on Thursdays at 10pm ET/PT on ABC during Fall 2020, beginning September 24. In the fall premiere, "58th Episode Celebration: Jerry Ferrara, Constance Zimmer, Chris Sullivan, Caroline Rhea, Ross Matthews, Dascha Polanco," host Alec Baldwin welcomes Jerry Ferrara, Constance Zimmer, Chris Sullivan, Caroline Rhea, Ross Mathews and Dascha Polanco to celebrate the show's 58th episode. Four contestants -- Nikkie Bendross (hometown: Covington, Georgia), Mark Drum (hometown: Astoria, New York), John Larocchia (hometown: Bellmore, New York) and Julie Rothe (hometown: San Antonio, Texas) -- vie for the chance to win $25,000.
On Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT, ABC premiered the season finale of MATCH GAME. Alec Baldwin is at the helm when Horatio Sanz, Marilu Henner, Michael Colter, Ali Wentworth, Justin Long, and Drea de Matteo bring the fun and games. Contestants joining the celebrity panelists are Robert Boyd (hometown: Lansing, IL), Brequelle Wolpert (hometown: Flushing, NY), Zachary Wisniewski (hometown: Bloomfield, NJ) and Jeanne Franz (hometown: Mineola, NY).
