Plot Synopsis

"Mega Beasts" is a documentary series that uses cutting-edge CGI to bring back to life some of the biggest and most ferocious dinosaurs ever to roam the earth, including: Spinosaurus, the largest known meat-eating dinosaur; Megalania, a giant lizard with a mouth full of huge dagger-like teeth; Terror Bird, a giant bird that used its mighty beak to bash in its victims' heads; Acrocanthasaurus, a dinosaur with a powerful death grip and scissor-like bite; Mosasaur, a fearsome marine monster; Bear Dog, a creature that combined the most lethal weapons of today's lion, wolf and grizzly bear. To piece together what these creatures looked like, scientists use fossil clues and modern analogues -- animals with similar traits that might suggest the mega beasts' behavior.
