THE MESSY TRUTH is a series of one-hour political specials during which CNN commentator Van Jones hosts a town hall, with special guests taking questions from a live studio audience. In the first special, which debuted Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 9pm ET, Van Jones explored how voters were feeling about the unprecedented election of Donald Trump, one month after election night. The program also included Van's conversations with Americans from across the political spectrum and special guests including former presidential candidate Rick Santorum, documentary film maker Michael Moore, and CNN Political Commentator and republican strategist Ana Navarro. THE MESSY TRUTH returned for two Wednesday nights -- January 11 and 25, 2017 -- at 9pm ET. In the first of these two new specials, Jones moderates conversations with Americans to reflect on President Obama's legacy and look ahead to the Trump Presidential Inauguration. Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and former Republican Presidential candidate Carly Fiorina will also join the conversation and take questions from the audience.
