Plot Synopsis

This daily variety show featured dancing, singing, cartoons, special guests and serial short stories. Well known for its theme-song lyric, "Who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me? M-i-c-k-e-y M-o-u-s-e!," THE MICKEY MOUSE CLUB is best remembered for launching Annette Funicello's career, as well as those of a few other mouseketeers -- Don Grady later starred in MY THREE SONS, Bobby Burgess was a dancer on THE LAWRENCE WELK SHOW, and Cubby O'Brien was a drummer for Karen and Richard Carpenter. This series aired for four seasons, with 360 original episodes. Seasons 1 and 2 featured one-hour original episodes on ABC, Season 3 included 30-minute original episodes on ABC, and the fourth season was syndicated, using 30-minute episodes repurposing material from the first three seasons.
