Plot Synopsis

This half-hour comedy follows two teenage best friends, Kaz and Oliver, as they juggle their daily responsibilities as typical teens with their after-school jobs at Mighty Med, a secret hospital for superheroes, where they help save the people that save people with the support of teen superhero Skylar Storm and the Chief of Staff's meddling nephew Alan Diaz. While hanging out at The Domain, their favorite comic-book and video-game store, Kaz and Oliver experience an unexpected mishap that lands them in the hospital. There, they inadvertently discover a hidden door that leads to Mighty Med, a secret hospital that treats all their favorite superhero, sci-fi, and fantasy characters. After discovering that their favorite superheroes are real and secretly live among them, these seemingly ordinary boys, known as "Normos" because they lack powers of their own, exhibit an extensive knowledge of superheroes that proves surprisingly valuable to Mighty Med's Chief of Staff, Horace, who gives the duo after-school jobs working at the hospital. Best friends since kindergarten, Kaz and Oliver must combine their individual strengths and find creative ways to help heal their favorite superheroes, along with the power and insight of the new friends, and sometimes foes, they meet at Mighty Med, including teen superhero Skylar Storm and the Chief of Staff's meddling nephew Alan, who has telekinesis powers. While Kaz specializes in technology, gear, tactics and ultimately his impulses, the overly cautious and superstitious Oliver draws on his far-reaching knowledge of the heroes and their backgrounds. MIGHTY MED returned for its second season on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 7pm ET/PT on Disney XD. The one-hour season opener, "How the Mighty Have Fallen," picks up right where Season 1 left off, with Kaz and Oliver trapped in the ER by an evil Skylar and the Annihilator, and the two villains plan to take over the hospital, and eventually, the world.
