Plot Synopsis

At their unique agency, brothers Clark and Ross Edwards use the science of psychological manipulation to solve their clients' problems. Clark, a world-renowned expert in the field of human behavior, suffers with an unmedicated bipolar disorder, and this former professor's career ended when he had an affair with a 22-year-old undergraduate. His older brother, Ross, is a slick con man who spent two years in prison for fraud, and this ladies' man got divorced three years ago. Each in their own way knows what makes people tick, and Ross has devised a business model that will potentially make them millions by using psychology to tailor plans that will influence any situation. The brothers offer their clients an alternative to fate, but they need the help of their team: Megan, an actress, who uses her beauty and acting skills to help with any scheme; Latrell, who's from the hood and has talent to spare; Miles, the geeky trust-fund baby; Sam, an ex-con, who Ross met during his court-mandated group therapy; Beth, Clark's former grad student with whom he had an affair; and Claire, the office manager, who also happens to be Ross' ex-wife. In their first case, they attempted to help a mother whose young son was suffering from a heart condition by convincing the health insurance company's head of claims to approve a previously denied experimental treatment. In the second episode, the team was hired by an executive at a consulting firm who's been overlooked for a promotion she was next in line for in place of a younger male candidate with less experience.
