Plot Synopsis

MIRACLE BABIES follows zoologist Martin Hughes-Games as he seeks out the people who are trying to save the world's most endagered animals, showing how these animal caregivers use science, medicine and captive breeding programs to keep a species from disappearing forever. In each 60-minute episode, Hughes-Games investigates the plight -- and hope -- of three animals, including: panda; pied tamarin; rhino; amur leopard; baby elephants; barbary lion; Tasmanian devil, koala, and many more. Nat Geo Wild aired five episodes of MIRACLE BABIES on consecutive days -- Tuesday, September 13 and Wednesday, September 14, 2011 -- with the U.S. premiere of the first two episodes and the world premiere of the last three.
