Plot Synopsis

MISFIT GARAGE features four mechanics who have all done business with Richard Rawling's Gas Monkey Garage on the TV series FAST N' LOUD, and now they have joined forces to create Fired Up Garage, their own hot rod shop. During the first two seasons of FAST N' LOUD, Rawlings had a series of issues with two of his brilliant and colorful mechanics, Tom Smith and Jordan Butler. After finally parting ways last season, Smith and Butler banded together with fellow car pros Thomas Weeks and Scot McMillan to form their own venture. The Fired Up Garage crew is pinning their hopes and dreams on their new business venture, determined to prove they have what it takes to make it big in the auto world. Unfortunately, succeeding in the car business proves to be much harder than they bargained for and with Richard Rawlings undermining their efforts at every turn, building a successful business may prove to be a bigger challenge than they can handle. On Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT on Discovery, MISFIT GARAGE returned with new episodes. In the first episode of the spring, "Flipped for a '69 Chevy Shortbed, Part I," Thomas and Scot roll into FU with their first truck project, but disaster strikes when Scot and Austin pick up the newly painted '69 Chevy cab and bed. Thomas must decide whether he wants to build up a '59 Oldsmobile, or keep as an original relic. A new season of MISFIT GARAGE premiered on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT on Discovery. This season, the Fired Up Garage crew -- Thomas Weeks, Tom Smith, Kevin Clark and Jordan Butler -- are determined to grow their business further but face major obstacles along the way. With the hope of moving onto bigger and brighter ventures, they take on complex builds that can yield even bigger return. They also set their sights on expanding the Fired Up Garage brand by opening up their first food truck in an attempt to go head-to-head with Gas Monkey Bar and Grill. Throughout the season, the gang faces turmoil from within like true misfits, and friends and business collide when Fired Up Garage takes on a build for a member of the Gas Monkey Garage team. In the season opener, "Launching a '69 Satellite," the guys buy their next build: a '69 Plymouth Satellite to turn it into a racer with a 750-hp big block 440 engine. Thomas Weeks has his eyes on a '32 Ford Five-Window Body owned by Richard Rawlings. On Monday, July 11, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT, Discovery premiered a new season of MISFIT GARAGE. Picking up from last season -- with a 48-hour deadline at play -- Fired Up Garage rushes to complete upholsterer Sue Martin's '56 Ford truck only to find that their tools have been stolen. The guys will need to act quickly or risk being the laughing stock of the Dallas hot rod community. The pressure mounts when Thomas picks up a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 that the shop plans to build for the prestigious Barrett-Jackson car auction. Adding to the stress, when the crew discusses plans for expanding the garage, tensions explode - resulting in one crew member calling it quits. This year, down a crew member, the guys will need to work even harder with an onslaught of challenging new projects and a looming Barrett-Jackson deadline. Season 5 of MISFIT GARAGE premiered on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on Discovery Channel. The misfits at Fired Up Garage are back in hopes of turning their shop into a money-making machine, but with their usual antics, things don't always go as planned. This season brings bigger builds, celebrity guests and a Guinness World Records attempt, but will it be enough to make the garage a household name? At the end of last season, John Klump became a partner at the garage and vowed to up the shop's game, while Thomas made it his mission to increase the cash flow through quick flips. Will this management change prove beneficial to the shop - or will it cause tempers to flare among the crew? This year, the guys will need to work even harder on challenging new projects to get the recognition they desire. The crew circumvents Thomas and buys back a 1952 Willys Jeep, which they previously flipped and are now looking to build into the ultimate off-road machine. Klump is at the helm, making all the decisions on the build and causing tensions to rise among the crew. With no buyer and little experience selling off-road vehicles, the misfits will have to pull out all the stops to showcase the Jeep and make a profit. In the season opener, "Spurred for a Ford," Thomas tracks down a rare original 1932 Ford Tudor! As the shop makes plans to build this into their finest car yet, Thomas doubles down with hopes of expanding the business by sponsoring a red-hot bull rider and committing to sell the '32 Ford.

On Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, Discovery Channel premiered the sixth season of MISFIT GARAGE. This season, the misfits aim to build their best cars yet and take on the ambitious task of creating a custom 1978 Chevy K5 Blazer that cost Thomas a pretty penny. With the pressure on to recoup the expense, the misfits plan to showcase the Blazer at a car show in Texas, but Richard Rawlings stops by Fired Up Garage and throws a Gas Monkey wrench in their plans. Not letting anyone or anything get in their way, the misfits buckle up and get down to business, vowing to turn a profit and build cars that are bigger and badder than ever. In the season opener, "Fired Up and Throwing Down," after a successful year of profitable builds and winning Mega Race, the Misfits are ready for their next project: a rare 2WD 1978 Blazer. But after one of their longtime partners decides to leave the shop, the Misfits might have run into a tough roadblock.
