Plot Synopsis

MISSISSIPPI MEN follows the real-life drama on the mighty Mississippi River, where a tugboat captain, a raft-riding pool shark, a treasure hunter, and a pair of frog catchers each set out to make their fortunes. And when they aren't struggling with the speeding currents and high waters of the river, they're dealing with the other obstacles that come at them. This one-hour series features: Bryant Tubbs -- a tugboat captain, marine engineer, and third-generation son of the river -- who is out to prove he can make a name for himself in the family business; Matt, a skilled pool player who's left a corporate job to travel down the Big Muddy on a homemade raft, embracing the simpler things in life; Ike, a spry 90-year-old treasure hunter, who is on a quest to find artifacts from the War of 1812; and Gary and Eddie, determined fishermen whose dream is to one day open their own seafood business.

On Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, History premiered the season finale of MISSISSIPPI MEN. In the season ender, "River Wars," wth their journey on the Mississippi River coming to an end, the guys are each finding themselves in the fight of their lives. Gary and Eddie's battle with a competitor has turned deadly and they're going to settle the score with him once and for all. Pool hustler, Matt Mohlke, has partnered up with an old friend for what he hopes is an epic pay day. And the treasure hunters on the Picket Hastings paddleboat think they've found the big dive spot they've been looking for, but an unexpected visitor may ruin their plans.
