Plot Synopsis

In this half-hour comedy series, series star and executive producer Gabriel Iglesias plays a good-natured public high school teacher who works at his alma mater, where tries to make a difference in the lives of some smart but underperforming students. Gabriel takes on teaching gifted but misfit kids to not only save them from being "counseled out" by a bully bureaucrat Assistant Principal, but also to help them unlock their full potential. The series opens on the last day of class before summer break, as Gabe learns several of his students are being transferred out of Woodrow Wilson High School. Told to find an impartial teacher to grade his class's oral reports, Gabe worries when the most morally upstanding member of the faculty volunteers. Netflix released the entire 10-episode first season of MR. IGLESIAS on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.

MR. IGLESIAS returned for its second season on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released six episodes of the new season. A new semester finds big-hearted Gabe guiding his students through college prep and the school play, but he also faces a test of his own: dating again. In the season opener, "True Calling," Gabe gives his class a college prep pep talk that backfires so spectacularly he begins to question his own career path.

Netflix released all five episodes of third season of MR. IGLESIAS on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. Gabe teaches his students to dream big, face their fears and believe in themselves -- lessons that come in handy when he falls for a new co-worker. In the season opener, "Technically Speaking," Gabe asks his class "to connect or disconnect?" when they receive new tablet devices. Mikey tries to overcome his shyness with Marisol.
