Plot Synopsis

MLB NOW is a live, one-hour program during which stat-savvy sportscaster Brian Kenny and former Major League Baseball (MLB) player Harold Reynolds debate the day's news in baseball, while also inviting outside opinions from social-media polls and guest interviews. Each host represents the perspective of a different group of baseball fans -- one group that views the sport through statistics and analytics and a second group that looks at baseball from the perspective of a former player. The duo analyzes everything, including crucial in-game moves by managers, recent contract signings, and pitch selection in game-deciding at-bats, showing the true differences between old-school and new-school baseball fans. Kristina Akra serves as co-host. On Monday, April 1, 2013, MLB Network presented the first episode of MLB NOW at 8pm ET, before the show settled into its regular, late-afternoon timeslot two days later.
