Plot Synopsis

Ex-Marine Detective Joe Teague has been assigned to a new mob task force, as part of a crusade by Los Angeles Police Captain William Parker to free the city of criminals like Ben 'Bugsy' Siegel and Mickey Cohen, the ruthless king of the Los Angeles underworld during the 1940s. Teague gets his first opportunity to get key information about one of the city's most infamous mobsters when Hecky Nash bribes him for protection during a mob blackmail scheme. Meanwhile, to learn more about that scheme, Parker and task-force boss Det. Hal Morrison interrogate Hecky's girlfriend, Jasmine Fontaine, who's also a photo girl at Cohen's nightclub. As Jasmine struggles to keep out of harm's way, Teague discovers a secret she's hiding as more details and suspicions emerge. In the meantime, Bugsy unveils a plan that will transform the city, using a violent display to make his point that his gambling empire will come to fruition, but he ends up behind bars. What initially appears as a shining moment for the department soon takes a turn for the worse when mobster Jack Dragna takes the opportunity to make his own move. With Bugsy's trial approaching, the city is under attack and a a violent massacre wrecks Captain Parker's plans, leaving the LAPD at a loss, but making Parker more determined than ever to clean up the corruption within the LAPD. TNT aired MOB CITY, adapted by former WALKING DEAD showrunner Frank Darabont, on three consecutive Wednesdays from 9-11pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back new episodes each week.
