Plot Synopsis

MONDAY MORNINGS is a scripted drama series that follows the doctors at Portland's Chelsea General Hospital, known for its notorious Monday morning morbidity and mortality conferences. During these closed-door meetings, which are led by Chief of Staff Harding Hooten, doctors gather with their peers for a confidential review of complications and errors in patient care. The staff at Chelsea General, who save lives, work with patients' families and deal with their own feelings, includes: Dr. Harding Hooten, the steely-eyed chief of surgery, who was nicknamed 'Hardly Human' long ago for his exacting, punishing ways during the weekly morbidity and mortality meetings; Dr. Jorge Villanueva, known as El Gato, who is perhaps the most celebrated trauma chief in the country, while his seat-of-the-pants diagnoses are the stuff of legend around Chelsea; hotshot neurosurgeon Dr. Tyler Wilson, whose god complex is well-earned; compassionate neurosurgeon Dr. Tina Ridgeway, who is willing to fight for cases that may seem like lost causes to others; the abrasive Dr. Buck Tierney, the hospital's Chief of Transplantation, who is bullish and theleast liked among the Chelsea General staff; the socially challenged Dr. Sung Park, a Korean-American who is ambitious to his core; the petite-but-formidable Dr. Sydney Napur, a workaholic cardiothoracic surgeon who's married to the job and a compulsive multi-tasker; and inquisitive, twentysomething resident Dr. Michelle Robidaux, who is eager to find her footing amongst these medical giants.
