Plot Synopsis

MONEY POWER RESPECT is a one-hour reality series that follows a group of elite, high powered female entertainment attorneys, as they help each other, use each other -- and sometimes throw each other under the bus -- in their efforts to get ahead. Whether dealing with failed partnerships, cheating boyfriends, stolen clients and back-stabbing best friends, these driven women use the tricks of their legal training to always get what they want. This series takes a rare and intimate look inside the glamorous yet cutthroat world of the Hip Hop music industry, and experience what it's like to turn artists into stars and negotiate lucrative deals for their clients and themselves. The women mix fun with pleasure as professional lines are drawn and personal alliances are forged. They attend exclusive events and mix with music's top power movers-- all the while struggling to balance their ambitions, love lives, checkbooks and friendships. The six women are: Wendy Credle, an A&R executive turned entertainment lawyer, who has made her mark in the music industry navigating the careers of several multiplatinum, Grammy award winning artists, including Ne-Yo, Anthony Hamilton, and Chrisette Michele; Kendell Kelly, a D.C. based intellectual property attorney, who worked at NASA beginning in High School, which she graduated from at 16, and continued working there throughout college at Spelman and Georgia Tech; Dana Whitfield, a trial attorney, negotiates deals for artists, like her husband, Lord Jamar of Brand Nubian, when she's not suing major corporations for massive settlements as a litigator; Kelly Shapiro, a general counsel attorney, who started her career in Philadelphia, practicing corporate law by day, and learning entertainment law by night, and moved back to the west coast representing celebrity clients; Nakia Thomas, a corporate/fashion attorney and a double Ivy League alum, who attended Brown University at the age of 16, where she excelled academically and athletically, and the University of Pennsylvania for law school; and Tiffany Ballard, a street smart and book smart attorney who represents writers and producers, who represents clients like Anonymous (Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, EMPIRE TV show), Syk Sense (Drake, Bryson Tiller, Kendrick Lamar, Tinashe), Deonte' (Chris Brown, Lloyd), and more. Plus, Ed Woods, an entertainment attorney, has worked closely with some of the biggest names in the industry from Diddy and Usher to Wesley Snipes.
