Plot Synopsis

MONUMENT GUYS is one-hour reality series that follows the crew at Crucible Foundry in Norman, OK, as brothers Mark and Steve Palmerton, along with sculptor Craig Campbell, research, sculpt, and cast bronze statues of deserving heroes. After years of working every job in a bronze foundry -- from sweeping floors to pouring bronze -- Mark opened the Crucible in 1999, the culmination of a life-long dream to create a monument foundry that combines ancient and cutting-edge techniques to produce master works of art. His brother Steve is not just a co-owner, he's also the facility's Artist In Residence after working in the family foundry in Brownsville, NE, during high school and then in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he spent another fifteen years sculpting and casting bronze. In the series premiere, "Blackbeard's Blood Groove," Craig digs into the history of piracy to sculpt a Blackbeard monument for a high school's 100th anniversary, and Mark and Steve craft a monument to a forgotten hero, the legendary aviator Wiley Post.
