Plot Synopsis

This 13-episode dramatization tells the story of Argentine boxing champion Carlos Monzon, as well as the investigation into the death of his wife, Uruguayan model Alicia Muniz. The series opens with prosecutor Gustavo Parisi beginning his investigation into Alicia's death. Carlos cooperates with Parisi and the authorities, providing his testimony about Muniz's death. In 1960, the boxer begins training with Amilcar Brusa. Parisi interviews witnesses once Carlos refuses to talk. In the 1960s, Carlos marries Pelusa and starts a family, just as his career suffers a setback. MONZON: A KNOCKOUT BLOW had its U.S. premiere on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire series.
