Plot Synopsis

Created by Sheri Elwood, MOONSHINE is a one-hour drama series that's an epic tale of lust, legacy and lobster, set against the backdrop of financial hardship, small town intrigue, and a long-buried secret that threatens to annihilate the Finley-Cullens once and for all. Bea and Ken Finley-Cullen are the heads of the family and owners of The Moonshine, their own little slice of paradise that is starting to become a nightmare -- if only they could decide which of their flawed brood is fit to take over the business. Lidia is an architect and the eldest sibling who wants to redevelop and exploit the valuable coastal property, giving her an opportunity to shine and overcome past disappointments. Her often-overlooked younger sister, Rhian, sees The Moonshine as her own chance to shine. Other family members include Lidia's sister Nora, the sexy local DJ, who knows all the family secrets; Sammy, Lidia's musically gifted adopted brother who holds secrets of his own; and aging party boy Ryan, Rhian's twin, who is running his own (illegal) business out of the resort. MOONSHINE made its U.S. debut on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on The CW.

On Friday, August 25, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT, The CW aired the U.S. debut of "So Long Farewell, You're Staying," the Season 1 finale of MOONSHINE. With the truth finally out in the open, the Finley-Cullens have made peace with each other. But things are far from over. Now they must face their biggest challenge of all: find the missing drugs, reason with the shady buyers, and frame Jill -- all while hosting the yearly cop fundraiser. As the RCMP closes in, Lidia must step up and risk everything to save the Moonshine. Can she pull it off in time, while in lederhosen.

Season 3 of MOONSHINE made its world debut on Sunday, July 16, 2023 on CBC (Canada).
