Plot Synopsis

Each year, the MOVIEGUIDE AWARDS honors studio executives, producers, directors, actors and writers of movies and television programs that seek to crate a deeper spirtual awareness in mankind and positively impact the world community. Awards include: The Grace Awards, awarded to an actor or actress in a motion picture or television program who exemplifies God's grace and mercy toward us as human beings through their outstanding performances; The Faith & Freedom Awards, awarded to movies and television programs that positively impact the world community by presenting a balanced view of what makes America great -- it's ideals of justice, liberty, religious freedom, and protection of the innocent; The Kairos Prize, awarded to inspire first-time and beginning screenwriters to produce compelling, entertaining, spiritually uplifting scripts; and The Epiphany Prizes, awarded to one movie and one television program that seeks to create a deeper spiritual awareness in mankind and increase man's love and understanding of God.

The 27th Annual Movieguide Awards, hosted by Candace Cameron Bure and daughter Natasha Bure, were held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Universal Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, CA, and broadcast two weeks later as a one-hour special by Hallmark Channnel on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 10-11pm ET/PT. The event is punctuated by the Epiphany Prize, which is awarded to popular, entertaining movies and television programs that are uplifting and inspirational, and The Grace Award, awarded to an actor or actress in a motion picture or television program who exemplifies grace through their outstanding performance.

In 2019, Hallmark Channel movies A SHOE ADDICT'S CHRISTMAS and WHEN CALL THE HEART: THE GREATEST CHRISTMAS BLESSING each received a nod for the Epiphany Prize for Most Inspiring Television Program. Hallmark Channel talent Candace Cameron Bure, Jean Smart and Lori Loughlin were each nominated for the Grace Award for Television; Bure and Smart for their work in A SHOE ADDICT'S CHRISTMAS and Loughlin for her performance in WHEN CALL THE HEART: THE GREATEST CHRISTMAS BLESSING.
