Plot Synopsis

MURDER LOVES COMPANY is a one-hour docuseries that examines how murder can happen anywhere -- even among a close group of people. Each 60-minute episode introduces a group of people in a unique world, whether it be a group of coworkers, or neighbors in a tight-knit community. Someone in this group will be murdered and someone in this group is the killer -- the identity of each is a mystery and always a surprise.

On Monday, May 27, 2019 at 7pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery debuted a sneak-peek episode. In the sneak-peek episode, "Dorm Living Nightmare," a girls' movie night out goes bad and leads to a not-so-happy ending for this group of college roommates. Police investigate a murder that leads them halfway across the state in search of the killer.

Three days later -- on Thursday, May 30 at 10pm -- the program had its official series premiere. In the series opener, "Nightmare on Bennington Drive," this quaint neighborhood in Jacksonville, Florida seems to be an unlikely place for any crime at all, let alone murder. But could this community's open door policy be a little too open?

In the season ender, "Devil in the Dance Hall," a murder within the small square dancing community of Texarkana, Arkansas leads investigators through a gauntlet of suspects with alibies and potential motives -- including love triangles, jealousy and lots of money.
