Plot Synopsis

MY FIVE WIVES is a one-hour reality series that follows Brady Williams, his five wives and their combined 24 children, who all live together on a large family property outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. From dealing with everyday issues like maintaining a strong marriage and raising children to more complicated issues such as jealousy, loneliness and their schedules with Brady, nothing is off-limits. An independent plural family, the Williams gradually withdrew from the fundamentalist Mormon Church after reevaluating their core beliefs. Believing in equality for everyone and a God who loves and accepts all, they emphasize that their choice to be together is "about love, commitment and happiness as a family" rather than religious doctrine. Brady was born into the Mormon Church, but until age 16, he had never heard of polygamy. At that time, his parents converted to a faith that embraced the plural lifestyle. Until the age of 34, he grew as a church leader before he and his family decided to break away, and now Brady works as a project manager at his brother's construction business while pursuing a degree in philosophy at the local college. In the first season, his five wives were: Paulie (1st wife): 41-years old, married for 21 years and has six children; Robyn (2nd wife): 40-years old, married for 21 years and has five children; Rosemary (3rd Wife): 40-years old, married for 19 years and has four children; Nonie (4th Wife): 35-years old, married for 16 years and has five children; and Rhonda (5th Wife): 34-years old, married for 14 years and has four children. TLC first aired MY FIVE WIVES as a one-hour special on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, nearly six months before the official series premiere.

On Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, TLC premiered the 10-episode second season of MY FIVE WIVES. In the season opener, "Mending a Marriage," Brady attempts to heal his relationship with Robyn by arranging a 20th anniversary re-do date. This season, Brady attempts to bring his wives closer together by instituting double dates, thus compelling Paulie and Rosemary to mend their sister-wife relationship. Nonie and Brady are actively trying to have another baby while Rhonda continues to explore the possibility of adoption. Plus, big change is coming because three daughters are graduating high school and want to move out for college. And the entire family visits Brady's parents in Washington for vacation as they entertain the prospect of moving nearly 1,000 miles away from their homes in Utah.
