Plot Synopsis

From sleep eating to food phobias, MY FOOD OBSESSION follows people who struggle with eating disorders, showing the medical treatment they receive. Each 30-minute episode documents the habits and lives of two people, including: 21-year-old Jessica, who sleepwalks to the kitchen, consuming up to 1500 additional calories, and goes to a sleep clinic for help; 25-year-old Patrick, who is so obsessed with vinegar that he drinks seven or more cups every day and who receives disturbing news from a doctor that might convince him to give it up; 25-year-old Shiseido, who has a paralyzing phobia of mayonnaise, leaving her in a state of constant anxiety, and who must decide whether to seek help to confront her fear; and 44-year-old Vic, who has dedicated his life to expanding his collection of hot sauce bottles -- from 4400 bottles to 5500 -- while draining his and his wife's bank account. Cooking Channel presented back-to-back episodes on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 8pm ET, but no additional episodes were scheduled to air in October or November 2012.
