Plot Synopsis

MYTH OR MONSTER is a one-hour series that follows acclaimed author Patrick Rothfuss, as he examines the world's most enduring myths and brings monsters and legends to life. Rothfuss dives into the past and consults with present-day eyewitnesses to expose the truth behind stories long believed to be sheer fantasy. On Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT, Travel Channel premiered the series pilot, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, Rothfussi nvestigates the local legend of Mothman, an 8-foot-tall man-bird hybrid that has haunted a small West Virginia town for over 50 years.
