Plot Synopsis

Co-created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz, MYTHIC QUEST is a live-action comedy series that follows a team of video game developers, led by the company's creative director Ian Grimm, as they navigate the challenges of running a popular video game. On Sunday, January 19, 2020 -- three weeks before the series debuted -- Apple announced at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour that it picked up the series for a second season. Season 1, which was titled MYTHIC QUEST: RAVEN'S BANQUET, premiered on Friday, February 7, 2020, as Apple TV+ released all nine, half-hour episodes of the show's first season.

On Friday, April 16, 2021, Apple TV+ released "Everlight," a special half-hour episode of MYTHIC QUEST. The team returns to the office for the annual Everlight party. Poppy and Ian rig a LARP tournament in an underdog's favor.

The second season of MYTHIC QUEST premiered on Friday, May 7, 2021 on Apple TV+. With the quarantine finally over, Season 2 of MYTHIC QUEST finds everyone back in the office (well, almost everyone), attempting to build upon the success of Raven's Banquet by launching an epic new expansion, but Ian and the newly promoted co-creative director, Poppy, struggle with the game's direction. Meanwhile, C.W. reconciles some unresolved issues from his past, testers Rachel and Dana test the bounds of an office romance, and David loses yet another woman in his life as Jo leaves him to assist Brad. The first two episodes dropped on May 7, with a new episode debuting each Friday through June 25.

Season 3 of MYTHIC QUEST premiered on Friday, November 11, 2022 on Apple TV+, as the streaming service released the first two episodes. A new episode drops each Friday through January 6. The new season follows a group of video game developers tasked with building worlds, molding heroes and creating legends, but the most hard-fought battles don't occur in the game -- they happen in the office. In Season 3, as Ian and Poppy navigate the gaming world and their partnership at the newly formed GrimPop Studios, Dana is forced to play mediator to her bosses' incessant bickering. Back at Mythic Quest, David settles into his new role as the boss where he truly finds himself in charge for the first time with Jo returning as his assistant -- more loyal and militant than ever; and Carol attempts to figure out where she fits in after a new promotion. At Berkeley, Rachel struggles to balance her morals with capitalism, while a post-prison Brad tries to return to society as a reformed man. Season 3 guest stars include Joe Manganiello, Lindsey Kraft and Casey Sander.

On Friday, January 6, 2023, Apple TV+ released "Buffalo Chicken Pizza," the Season 3 finale of MYTHIC QUEST. Ian tries to repair his partnership with Poppy. David hits an impasse with the movie. Dana has a realization about Grimpop.

MYTHIC QUEST has been renewed for a fourth season.
