Plot Synopsis

NATIONAL TREASURE: KIRI is a four-part series that tells the story of Kiri, a young black girl in the process of being adopted by a middle class white family. But Kiri goes missing on an unsupervised visit to her birth grandfather Tobi and his second wife Rochelle -- a visit arranged by her social worker, Mirian, before her family officially adopts her. The series follows Miriam, as the fingers of suspicion and blame point at her and her judgement is questioned; Kiri's birth family, as they find both their past failings and their present dysfunctional relationships put under the microscope; and Kiri's adoptive family -- particularly Alice, Kiri's fiercely articulate white foster mother, as they are thrust into the national limelight. All of them are asking the same two questions: what happened to Kiri, and who is to blame? As the truth about what happened to Kiri starts to unfold, Miriam realizes she has to take responsibility for her actions, while Tobi has a choice to make about his son, Nathaniel. NATIONAL TREASURE: KIRI made its U.S. debut on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT when Hulu released all four episodes.
