Plot Synopsis

This spinoff of NCIS centers on the NCIS New Orleans office, which handles cases from Pensacola through Mississippi and Louisiana to the Texas panhandle. Leading the team is Special Agent Dwayne Pride (aka 'King'), a native of NOLA who is driven by his need to do what is right. Working with Pride is Special Agent Christopher LaSalle, who plays hard but works harder; and Special Agent Meredith 'Merri' Brody, a charismatic and tough interrogator who transferred from the Great Lakes office in search of a fresh start. Supporting them is coroner Dr. Loretta Wade, who is as eccentric as she is smart. NCIS: NEW ORLEANS first appeared as a two-part backdoor pilot on Tuesday, March 25 and April 1, 2014. In the "Crescent City" episodes of NCIS, Gibbs reunited with his former colleague, NCIS Special Agent Dwayne Cassius Pride, in a joint case between the two field offices and the FBI when the body of Congressman Dan McLane, a former NCIS agent, washed ashore in New Orleans. This series had its official series premiere on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, as CBS aired the "Musician Heal Thyself" episode. In the opener, a case turns personal for Pride when the body of a Petty Officer is identified as a former gang member he once mentored. Meanwhile, Brody continues her search for the perfect place to call home in New Orleans.

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS returned for its second season on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on CBS. In the season opener, "Sic Semper Tyranis," Pride and the team plan a dangerous undercover operation to retrieve a stolen missile and prevent an attack on a U.S. Naval ship after a military convoy is bombed on a New Orleans bridge. Dr. John guest stars as himself.

Season 3 of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS premiered on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT on CBS. In the season opener, "Aftershocks," the NCIS team partners with several federal agencies to track a sniper who is targeting crowded events in the city. Also, FBI Special Agent Tammy Gregorio (new cast member Vanessa Ferlito) arrives to investigate Pride and his team.

The fourth season of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS premiered on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on CBS. In the season opener, "Rogue Nation," while Pride remains on probation six weeks after his rogue takedown of the corrupt Mayor Hamilton, his team is closely monitored by Supervisory Special Agent Paula Boyd (guest star Becky Ann Baker). Also, when the FBI arrives to run lead on a case involving a stolen big rig of nuclear waste, the team must secretly investigate from the sidelines.

Season 5 of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS premiered on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on CBS. In the season opener, "See You Soon," Pride fights for his life in the ICU, and the team scours the city for the hit woman who attempted to assassinate him. Guest stars include Mark Harmon as NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Chelsea Field as Rita Devereaux, and Shanley Caswell as Laurel Pride. New series regular Necar Zadegan is introduced as Special Agent Hannah Khoury in the season's second episode on Tuesday, October 2. Series regular Rob Kerkovich co-wrote the October 9 episode, during which Reggie Lee makes his first appearance as a recurring guest star as Assistant Special Agent in Charge Steven Thompson. Plus, LeVar Burton directed the October 16 episode, the season's fourth installment.

The sixth season of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS premiered on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT on CBS. In the season opener, "Judgement Call," Pride must cut his vacation short when Hannah is suspended for breaking protocol during a joint investigation with the FBI. On February 16, 2020 NCIS: NEW ORLEANS returned for its winter premiere on a new night: Sundays at 10pm. In the mid-season premiere, "Bad Moon Rising," the team is concerned when Sebastian becomes unreachable while undercover as a new recruit.

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS returned for its seventh season on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 9:30pm ET/9pm PT on CBS. In the season opener, "Something in the Air (Part 1)," New Orleans grapples with the effects of COVID-19, so Pride sends Tammy and Carter to investigate a suspicious death aboard a humanitarian ship offshore, where they learn that some crew members are infected with the deadly disease. Also, Wade is overwhelmed by the high volume in the morgue due to COVID-19. Part 2 debuts one week later at 9pm. As Tammy and Carter continue to investigate the suspicious death aboard a COVID-infected humanitarian ship offshore, Pride and the team discover that the PPE they were sent to distribute may hold the key to finding the killer. Also, Rita returns to New Orleans to surprise Pride, Wade helps a grieving woman who can't find her brother who died from COVID-19, and Patton and his goddaughter get into a heated argument. After a three-week break, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS returned for its winter premiere on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 9:30pm ET/9pm PT on CBS. (The East Coast time may be later if the NFL game ends later than 7:30pm ET.) In the mid-season debut, "Operation Drano (Part 1)," as NCIS investigates a suspicious death and the missing key piece of evidence is a top secret, high tech battery, Pride and the team realize there could be deadly consequences if it falls into the wrong hands.
