Plot Synopsis

NEW AMERICAN NOISE is a series of documentary films, each the work of a different director who explores the underground music scene in six different American cities, including the strip clubs of Atlanta, the indie scene in Portland, the emerging experimental communities of Detroit, the sensation of New Orleans' sissy bounce, underground alternative rap culture in New York City, and electro music created in Los Angeles's valley. The premiere episode about Detroit featured artists such as Lord Scrummage, Deastro, Flint Eastwood, the Ivy League Crew, Richie Wholfeil and the Wolfman Band.
