Plot Synopsis

In NEW ORLEANS EASY RENO, Holly Baker renovates an historic home in New Orleans after she, her husband Sean and their daughter Wren move from the north and spend several weeks searching for the perfect house. With only six weeks to finish the job, Holly finds inspiration for the interior in the doorways of The Big Easy. Plus, she and Sean have fun shopping for a classic Gas Lamp. On Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Noon ET/PT, HGTV premiered the pilot of the series with its original title, BIG EASY RENO, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. One year later -- on Wednesday, December 27, 2016 -- from Noon-1pm, HGTV premiered back-to-back new episodes of NEW ORLEANS RENO, but the cable channel again had no additional programs scheduled. In the day's first episode (Noon), Suzanna lost her heart to NOLA when she first lived there in 1997 and now she's moving back. After a six-month house search, Suzanna knew she had found 'the one' when she saw a 101-year-old double shotgun house in the hip Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans. This historical gem has gorgeous old bones and has held up well over time with straight original wood floors,soaring ceilings and gorgeous architectural details in every room. Holly finds the perfect harmony between preservation and functionality to bring this gorgeous Bywater beauty back to life. then, in the second episode, for 10 years this couple has lived in an adorable 1915 Creole cottage in New Orleans' family friendly Uptown. They love the home's charm and character but not the poorly laid out kitchen and lack of usable space leftover from a 1970s renovation. Holly helps them fall in love with their house all over again when she reconfigures and updates the cottage with a design that celebrates the cottage's original charm and historic features.
