Plot Synopsis

Each New Year's Eve since December 31, 2021, NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE'S BIG BASH is hosted live from Nashville, featuring once-in-a-lifetime collaborations with artists inviting special guests and artist friends, who perform together throughout the night, taking on their biggest hits and performing covers of some of the most iconic country music songs of all time. The broadcast crosses multiple time zones, with the traditional countdown at midnight ET, culminating with Nashville's renowned Music Note Drop and fireworks at midnight CT.

The inaugural NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE'S BIG BASH, hosted by Bobby Bones and Rachel Smith, was a five-hour (8-11pm & 11:30pm-1:30am ET/PT) celebration to ring in the new year. Scheduled performers included: Jason Aldean, Jimmie Allen, Kelsea Ballerini, Gabby Barrett, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Elle King, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Cole Swindell, Zac Brown Band, Lady A, Ingrid Andress, BRELAND, King Calaway, Riley Green, Sam Hunt, Chris Janson, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce and Lainey Wilson.

The third NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE'S BIG BASH premiered on Sunday, December 31, 2023 from 8-10pm ET (live)/PT (tape) and continued from 10:30pm-1:30am ET (live)/PT (tape), hosted by Elle King and Rachel Smith. Additionally, King joins the performance lineup and will play her hits live from the Bicentennial Mall stage. The special will feature nearly 50 performances by country music's hottest superstars, including Thomas Rhett, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lainey Wilson, Old Dominion, Trace Adkins, Grace Bowers, Kane Brown, Jackson Dean, HARDY, Cody Johnson, Parker McCollum, Megan Moroney, Brothers Osborne, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce, Blake Shelton, Trombone Shorty, Morgan Wallen and Bailey Zimmerman. CMT television and radio host Cody Alan and CBS anchor Lonnie Quinn will be corresponding from New York City's Times Square, along with Dustin Lynch, who will also be performing live.

The five-hour broadcast will cross multiple time zones, with the traditional countdown at midnight ET, culminating with the renowned Nashville music note drop and fireworks at midnight CT.
