Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Bobby Bones and Rachel Smith, the inaugural NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE'S BIG BASH was a five-hour (8-11pm & 11:30pm-1:30am ET/PT) celebration to ring in the new year. The broadcast crossed multiple time zones, with the traditional countdown at midnight ET, culminating with Nashville's renowned Music Note Drop and fireworks at midnight CT. The special features once-in-a-lifetime collaborations with artists inviting special guests and artist friends to perform together throughout the night, taking on their biggest hits and performing covers of some of the most iconic country music songs of all time. Scheduled performers include: Jason Aldean, Jimmie Allen, Kelsea Ballerini, Gabby Barrett, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Elle King, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Cole Swindell, Zac Brown Band, and possibly more acts to be announced later. On Friday, December 10, 2021, CBS announced that these additional acts will perform: Lady A, Ingrid Andress, BRELAND, King Calaway, Riley Green, Sam Hunt, Chris Janson, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce and Lainey Wilson.

The second NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE'S BIG BASH premiered on Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 8-10pm ET (live)/PT (tape) and continued from 10:30pm=1:30am ET (live)/PT (tape), hosted by Jimmie Allen, Elle King, and Rachel Smith from Music City. The five-hour broadcast features a staggering hit parade of more than 50 back-to-back performances, including Kelsea Ballerini, Brooks & Dunn, Little Big Town, Zac Brown Band, Jason Aldean, Jimmie Allen, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, King Calaway, Sheryl Crow, Flo-Rida, Riley Green, Elle King, Ashley McBryde, Steve Miller, Thomas Rhett, Darius Rucker, Lainey Wilson, and The War and Treaty. Nashville will count down with the East Coast at midnight and keep the party going through midnight Central Time with the city's renowned Music Note Drop.
