Plot Synopsis

900 DAYS WITHOUT ANABEL is a three-part documentary that chronicles the story of Anabel Segura, who disappeared while she was jogging on April 12, 1993 in Madrid. She had been kidnapped. And for almost three years, the entire country of Spain was in suspense, waiting for her rescue. This documentary recounts what happened in that period and the negotiations with the kidnappers through the unpublished original tapes recorded by the police agents. During the 900 distressing days that Anabel's kidnapping lasted, society was in suspense and took to the streets to ask for her release. Throughout those three years, nobody looked at the clock; the telephone controlled the passage of time. Between 1993 and 1995, fourteen phone calls occurred between the kidnappers and the negotiator representing the Segura family to release Anabel. Those conversations are coming to light in their entirety for the first time now, when thirty years have passed since the resolution of the case. All three episodes of 900 DAYS WITHOUT ANABEL dropped on Friday, November 22, 2024 on Netflix.
