Plot Synopsis

OMNISCIENT is set in the near future, in a city where every citizen is followed 24/7 by a tiny (almost imperceptible) drone. The machine feeds a super-computer with data, which no human is allowed to access. Crime rates are almost zero since the perpetrators know for sure they will be caught. The Omniscient System seems flawless -- until a tech trainee named Nina finds a murder that's unaccounted by the system. It's up to her to outsmart her surveillance drone, investigate a murder, and figure out what the System is hiding. The story opens after Nina's dad is murdered, and she begins her search to discover why the Omniscient surveillance system's drones failed to monitor his killer. As Nina investigates her father's past, she finds an ally in Judite, a city hall worker. On Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire six-episode first season of OMNISCIENT.
