Plot Synopsis

Created by series star Julie Delpy, ON THE VERGE is a half-hour dramedy series that follows four fortysomething women -- French chef Justine, overwhelmed stylist Anne, single mom Ell, and Yasmin -- as they dig into love and work, with a generous side of midlife crises, in pre-pandemic Los Angeles. The story opens with another birthday -- and another panic attack for Yasmin. Justine faces the void of a blank screen as Ell's impulsive encounter ends with a blank check. ON THE VERGE made its U.S. debut on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, as Netflix released the entire 12-episode first season.
