Plot Synopsis

ONE DOLLAR is a one-hour mystery series set in Braden, PA -- a small rust belt town in post-recession America -- where a one-dollar bill changing hands connects a group of characters involved in a shocking multiple murder at Bud Carl's steel mill. The path of the dollar bill and point of view in each episode paint a picture of a modern American town with deep class and cultural divides that spill out into the open as the town's secrets get revealed. In the series opener, Garrett Drimmer, a struggling steel mill worker and single dad, has a chance encounter with Dannie Furlbee, a recent high school grad from the wealthy part of town. Meanwhile, private investigator Jake Noveer clashes with former colleague Police Chief Peter Trask and becomes more entangled with the Furlbee family than expected.

On Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, CBS All Access premiered the Season 1 finale of ONE DOLLAR. In the season ender, "Jake Noveer," Dannie is forced to reassess her future after a bombshell from her family. Tensions run high as Bud and Goot feel Jake closing in on them.
