Plot Synopsis

What if opportunity knocked on your door, giving you a chance to play a game show on national television for the chance to win scholarships, cars, trips, flat-screen TVs, and concert tickets? Would you do it? Well, "Opportunity Knocks" travels the country looking for families that would, and this game show-on-wheels sets up the stage in the contestant's front yard. While the show is setting up, the family is sent to a hotel for 24 hours so that they don't know anything about the game. When the family returns, it's welcomed by a red carpet, a fully-functioning outdoor studio, neighbors in the audience, and a stage decorated with their family pictures and other items related to its family history. To win prizes, family members must answer questions to prove that they know the family inside and out. And it's not just standard Q&A about the family's history and possessions. Sometimes, they'll be asked to identify relatives by feeling their hair -- while blindfolded -- and other fun, interactive trivia games.
