Plot Synopsis

OUR BIG FAT WEIGHT LOSS STORY follows unfit families, as they work together to transform themselves into healthy, happy individuals. Each one-hour episode highlights the struggle of one child, and how that young person connects with -- and gets support from -- their parents and siblings to shed pounds, build relationships, and restore self-esteem. Subjects include: Adrienne, an obese, fun-loving 16-year-old girl who decides it's time to set goals to shed the weight instead of wishful thinking; Drae, an overweight and bullied 13-year-old boy who connects with his disabled father to change their lifestyle; Connor, a chubby 10-year-old boy with ADHD who inspires his family to lose weight and get healthy; Alex, a 14-year-old boy who has high cholesterol from eating traditional Jewish food loaded with butter and sauces; Liam, an 11-year-old boy with a mother who is overwhelmed as she tries to control her son's eating habits; and many more overweight children. This series had its U.S. premiere on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Noon ET on the Style channel.
