Plot Synopsis
OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF DANGER is half-hour reality series that follows adventurer Todd Sampson, as he puts his faith in science to the ultimate test through a series of epic and potentially deadly experiments. In each 30-minute episode, Todd, who once completed an unguided ascent to the top of Mount Everest, puts himself in a death-defying situation, however, the laws of physics dictate that he will escape unscathed. Todd calls upon leading physicists and experts who guarantee that the science behind each experiment is irrefutable, absent of human error. During the season Todd is shot at point-blank range underwater with an AK-47 (demonstrating resistance), faces off with a swinging one-ton wrecking ball inches from his face (conservation of energy), travels through a 1600-degree fire with only a thin layer of water protecting him (heat transfer), climbs a skyscraper using only two household vacuum cleaners (air pressure), and takes flight with 120 helium balloons (buoyancy). On Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 10-11pm ET/PT, Science Channel premiered OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF DANGER, debuting back-to-back new episodes:
"Stop a Speeding Bullet" (10pm): Risking it all in the name of physics, Todd goes up against one of the world's deadliest weapons. Facing an AK-47 rifle underwater, he must trust the extraordinary power of resistance in the water to stop the bullet before it hits him.
"The Human Spider" (10:30pm): Todd tries to defy gravity by scaling a 13-story building with nothing more than two vacuum cleaners strapped to his back. In this difficult experiment, the invisible force of air pressure could mean the difference between life and death.

On Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 10-11pm ET/PT, Science Channel premiered the season finale of OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF DANGER, showing back-to-back episodes:
"Flying Through Fire" (10pm): Todd Sampson tries to defy the deadly power of fire and dives into a blazing-hot inferno. With nothing but a thin layer of water to protect him, science could mean the difference between life and death.
"Balloons of Hazard" (10:30pm): Todd Sampson takes an incredible flight powered by 130 massive helium balloons. In this dangerous experiment, Todd must use science to defy gravity and make it safely back to the ground.
