Plot Synopsis
Created by Megan Sanchez-Warner, a victim of a violent crime herself, PAROLE BOARD: VICTIMS SPEAK is a one-hour reality series that follows victims of violent crime whose perpetrator is up for parole, documenting the emotional process of facing the inmate's possible release. Each 60-minute episode chronicles two hearings, each ending with the parole board deciding in favor of the victim or the inmate. LMN premiered the pilot episode of this series on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11pm ET/PT, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. This pilot episode features two unfolding stories: In Kentucky, though a brutal murderer was sentenced to life for the horrific killing of Diane Camm, her siblings must confront the parole board to try to convince them to keep him behind bars. In New Hampshire, a toddler was assaulted by his mother's then-boyfriend, and they face off in front of the parole board as she pleads for her young family's safety.
