Plot Synopsis

THE PARTNER is a one-hour reality series that follows renowned investor and entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis, as he searches for the perfect partner to help him manage the fast-growing portfolio of businesses he acquired while investing more than $40 million of his own money in companies featured on THE PROFIT. Thousands of people hailing from all corners of the country applied for the opportunity to participate, but only ten were invited to Chicago to take part in the final interview process. In the end after five episodes, one candidate will receive the opportunity of a lifetime: a half-million dollar contract, an equity stake, and the chance to help Lemonis manage his empire. The 10 finalists are: Chuck Brewer from Indianapolis, IN; Billy Canu from San Diego, CA; Carrie Chitsey from Cedar Park, TX; Erin Cobb from Kirkland, WA; Michael Graves from New Rochelle, NY; Ricardo Martinez from Atlanta, GA; Peilin Pratt from Manhattan Beach, CA; Buffie Purselle from Atlanta, GA; Julianna Reed from Santa Monica, CA; Stephanie Sievers from Shreveport, LA. On Thursday, January 26, 2017, CNBC announced the THE PARTNER premiered Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT, one week later than originally scheduled. In the series opener, ten candidates arrive in Chicago to compete for a position working alongside Marcus Lemonis and an equity stake in his multi-million dollar company. Marcus puts the finalists to the test by challenging their communication skills. Who will crack under the pressure, and who will take the next step toward becoming The Partner?

On Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT, CNBC premiered the season finale of THE PARTNER. In the season ender, "People, Process, Product, Partner," Marcus chooses the final two candidates and gives them their most important challenge yet: walking a day in his shoes. The finalists are tasked with assessing a struggling local business and putting together an investment plan. Based on this information, Marcus finally determines who The Partner will be. The finalists are: Peilin Pratt, Julianna Reed, and Erin Cobb.
