Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Bentley Kyle Evans and series stary MC Lyte, PARTNERS IN RHYME is half-hour sitcom set in sunny Southern California centered around the ever-changing record industry. When rap pioneer Lana Crawford discovers she is being dropped as an artist from her label and in massive debt, The OG rap star is propositioned into managing her niece Lucious T, an up and coming Instagram rapper. Generations collide as the unlikely duo try to find their footing, working, and living under the same roof. Lana's feisty best friend and personal assistant, Victoria "Vicky" Sims; Mekhai Crawford, her younger, freeloading brother; high-power label executive and mastermind behind the new dynamic duo, Hazel Wilson; and trusted recording engineer Boston Jacobs, are all on hand, to help this legend raise a star! PARTNERS IN RHYME premiered on Thursday, November 18, 2021 on AllBlk, as the streaming service released the first episode. A new episode dropped each Thursday through December 30. PARTNERS IN RHYME made its linear television debut on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 10:05pm ET/PT on WE.

The sophomore season of PARTNERS IN RHYME premiered on Thursday, October 13, 2022 on AllBlk, as the streaming service released the first episode. A new episode drops each Thursday through December 1. Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of Luscious T's decision to say in LA with her aunt or return home to her mother, which results in deep personal turns for all the character's relationships, as they are put to the test. Mekhi finally realizes he cannot ride on his sister Lana's coattails forever and attempts to refocus his own goals. Lana's relationship with Boston, undertakes more ups and downs that question where they land as a couple. High-power label executive, Hazel Wilson returns with more surprises. And with the label's "cash cow" now in limbo, will she be able to push Lana to begin a new chapter?

On Thursday, December 1, 2022, AllBlk released "All Ready," the Season 2 finale of PARTNERS IN RHYME. Lana, Vicky and Mekhi are gearing up for the first day of Luscious' tour. Lana decides to take her future into her own hands and announces a major change.
