Plot Synopsis

Created by Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg, THE PATIENT is a 10-episode psychological thriller about therapist Alan Strauss held prisoner by his patient, Sam Fortner, who reveals himself to be a serial killer. Sam has an unusual therapeutic demand for Alan: curb his homicidal urges. But, with time running out, Alan fights desperately to stop Sam before Alan becomes complicit in Sam's murders or worse -- becomes a target himself. The first two episodes of THE PATIENT dropped on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 on Hulu, with a new episode debuted each Tuesday through October 25.
