Plot Synopsis

THE PEOPLE'S COUCH, based on the UK TV series GOGGLEBOX, is a voyeuristic/social series that chronicles American TV fans as they laugh, gasp, cry, and comment about their fave TV shows from the previous week. This taped series features a cross-section of American households, including gay best friends, a group of sorority sisters, multi-generational families, and even stars of Bravo TV series, like Tina, Tarzu, and Tarzie from NEWLYWEDS: THE FIRST YEAR. Bravo premiered three, half-hour episodes on consecutive Sundays at 11:30pm ET/PT from October 6-20, 2013 before taking a five month break. Following the hiatus, THE PEOPLE'S COUCH returned with new episodes on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 11:30pm ET/PT on Bravo, moving from Sunday to Monday nights for five weeks, changing to Tuesdays at 10pm ET/PT starting April 15, and expanding to 60-minute episodes beginning May 6. Season 2 premiered on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on Bravo. The eight-episode second season features one-hour episodes that highlight these returning couch potatoes: event coordinator Kenya and nanny Amanda, who are sisters and roommates with a fifteen-year age difference; best friends Blake, Scott and Emerson, who are all single and not interested in dating each other; Persian sisters Destiney and Cathy, who are inseparable purveyors of pop; parents Andrew and Julie Egber, who welcome sons Sam and Jack into their bed each night for foot rubs, cuddling and fighting over the remote; best friends and writing partners Julie and Brandy, who met on an LGBT cruise six years ago; gaming consultant Joe Resnick and his three adult daughters -- Rachel, Sarah and Nicole -- who all agree that they are daddy's girls through and through; retired neighbors and friends, who are living together in a senior artist community they call Squirrel Hill -- because they are surrounded by a bunch of nuts; parents and life-long sweethearts Princella and Lamont Zeno, who moved from Detroit to California, where son Rashawn and Lamont hope to make it as professional musicians; and many more families and friends from across America. THE PEOPLE'S COUCH returned for its third season on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT on Bravo with eight hour-long episodes in the new season. Returning for Season 3 are: sisters and roommates Amanda and Kenya; best friends Blake, Scott and Emerson; sisters Destiney and Cathy; the Egber family; best friends and writing partners Julie and Brandy; the Resnick family; the Zeno family; and retired neighbors and friends Ayn Phillips, Teddi Shattuck and Sue Mavro (from Season 1). Season 4 of THE PEOPLE'S COUCH premiered on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT on Bravo with twelve new hour-long episodes, as the series continues to enter the households of recurring families and friends sitting in their living rooms as they watch the best shows of the new year. Couchers returning for more cheering and jeering are: sisters and roommates Amanda and Kenya; best friends Blake, Scott and Emerson; sisters Cathy and Destiney; best friends and writing partners Julie and Brandy; retired neighbors and friends Teddi, Ayn and Sue; and the Zeno family.
