Plot Synopsis
Each summer, one of America's outstanding golf facilities hosts the game's best professionals, as they compete for the Wanamaker Trophy in the PGA CHAMPIONSHIP. This tournament was first held in 1916 at Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, NY, where golfers competed in this match play event, with British-born professional Jim Barnes winning 1-up over Jock Hutchison, a native of St. Andrews, Scotland, in the tournament's final match. The PGA CHAMPIONSHIP continued as a match-play tournament through 1957, and then switched to medal (stroke) play in 1958 when it was televised for the first time. In 2013, golfers descend on Oak Hill Country Club (Rochester, NY) for the 95th PGA CHAMPIONSHIP, with 156 golfers contending for the title over four days -- from Thursday, August 8, 2013 through Sunday, August 11, 2013.
